Come Out and Play is not an emergency service. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services.

Before joining

  • Review the activity description.
  • Assess your fitness, experience, and equipment.
  • Check the weather and conditions.
  • Confirm the route and any access restrictions.
  • Ask questions directly through your own communication channels.
  • Tell someone your plans.

Meeting others

  • Meet in an appropriate public place when practical.
  • Use your own transportation.
  • Trust your judgment.
  • Leave if you feel uncomfortable.
  • Report or block users when appropriate.

During the activity

  • Stay within your ability.
  • Carry appropriate equipment.
  • Follow laws, closures, and land-use rules.
  • Understand that conditions may change.
  • Make your own decision about whether to continue.
